One 3,000-m3 fully-pressurized LPG carrier M/T ZHAO SHANG YI was constructed by Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd. and delivered to CHINA MERCHANTS YANGTZE LPG TRANSPORTION CO., LTD. in August, 2000. The design was done by Jiangnan Shipyard.
Features
1.The vessel is an IMO type 2G fully-pressurized LPG carrier for use along sea coasts and rivers and is suitable to carry specified liquefied gases having density up to maximum 0.65t/m3 and maximum operating pressure of 17.5 bar G.
2.The vessel is designed and constructed to carry liquefied gas cargoes in two 1,500m3 independent type-C cylindrical cargo tanks. Each tank is capable of loading commercial propane, propylene,butadiene and butylene.
3.One electric-motor-driven deepwell pump (300m3/h) is provided for each of the cargo tanks.
4.An independent cargo control and monitoring system is provided. All the cargo pumps, reliquefaction plant, ballast pumps, cargo & ballast valves, etc. are remotely-controlled from the main switchboard and monitored on the CRTs in the cargo control room.
5.Two diesel engines drive two five-blade solid type propellers. The steering gear is of ram-type with two power units.
