Shipyard built 8 reefer container vessels and delivered to German
shipowners, COLUMBIA SHIPMANAGEMENT LTD. and F.AHRENKIEL GmbH
& CO. from 1990 to 1992. The vessels are for worldwide service
to carry bananas, fruits, freeze-meat, freeze-fish, cars, pallets,
etc.
Features
1.The
vessel has 4 cargo holds and each hold is subdivided into two
refrigerated top/bottom subholds and controlled and monitored
by alarm system.
2.The
vessel has a SV bow bulb and an electrical bow thruster with fixed-propeller.
3.The
steel structure in cargo hold area is of low temperature resistant
materials.
4.Hatch
covers at upper dick are of weathertight, insulated hydraulic
folding type and tween deck hatch covers are of non-weathertight,
insulated hydraulic folding type. Each cover has a small banana
hatch cover sized 2.5m*2.5m.
5.A
hydraulic side door is installed at port and starboard of each
cargo hold.
